The podcast has a new home. Here’s why I’m staying in your inbox.
Moving from travel stories to a dedicated Workshop for the camera-shy creator.
First, some quick housekeeping: Highway Highlights has evolved.
It is now the Rudderless Travel Podcast, and it has moved to its new permanent home at Rudderless Travel Unpacked. If you’re already a subscriber there, you don’t need to do a thing—the stories and season two (droping in April) are waiting for you
So, why am I still here?
While the podcast is about the destinations, I realized there was a massive gap for the people behind the scenes—the creators.
I’m rebranding this space into The Video | Podcast Lab.
After years of editing in Final Cut Pro and navigating the ‘paparazzi effect’ of filming in public, I wanted to build a workshop for the hesitant creator. We aren’t just sharing information; we’re closing the gap between knowing and doing
This Lab is for you if you want to master:
The Discovery Engine: Turning one recording into a growth tool for YouTube and Spotify.
The Studio Path: Helping audio hosts finally get comfortable on camera (no more ‘freezing up’ when the lens turns your way).
Travel Video Mastery: Moving from simple blogging to cinematic storytelling.
What this means for you: If you’re only here for the travel stories, you can find those over at Rudderless Travel Unpacked. But if you’ve ever wanted to hit ‘record’ on your own stories—whether for a brand, a podcast, or a YouTube channel—I invite you to stay in the Lab.
We officially launch this Monday, March 16, with a look at the ‘Secret Weapon’ I use to edit video as easily as a Word doc.
I need your help to build this: Hit reply and tell me—what is the #1 thing that stops you from turning on the camera? I’m building this Workshop for you, and I want to make sure we tackle your biggest hurdles first.
I hope you’ll stay and hang out with me in the Lab.

P.S. To those of you who have been bugging me to do this since the last…well, forever—this is all your fault. Thanks for the push.
